This looks pretty cool! I really hope that this can come to fruition. Even though Amazon bought & killed TouchCo, touch-screen tech is becoming more & more commonplace, hopefully there can be some licensing put into place for an iPad or Android tablet… read more on The LinnStrument here.

Roger Linn has helped to shape the face of modern music just as much as Bob Moog & Les Paul. To be honest, I can’t even imagine modern music w/out the contributions of the sampling drum machine. In the past 30 years, he has been behind the designs of these units:

Linn LM-1 [1980]

LinnDrum [1982]

Linn 9000 [1984]

MPC60 [1988]

MPC60II [1991]

MPC3000 [1994]

The Extraordinary & the Something Sideshow is a 10-in-1 arts & music showcase extravaganza, boasting 10 exciting exhibits the likes of which, the NODA community has never experienced. This event is part of the 10 day long Southern Holiday Festival, where several arts organizations in and around the city will be hosting arts events to celebrate culture in our great city.

2 of “The Apes” will be in the house – Dirty Drummer on the decks & Stephen Barrett will have a skate deck in the Skate n’ Paint exhibit. See you there!!!

I’m not really sure about the practical applications for this thing yet, but it looks fun!!!

Thanks to everybody that came out for this beautiful night of music & a special thanks to Benji Hughes, The McClintock G’s, Pete, Stacy, Jon & DK (for helping to make it happen)… We love you Mary.
